Work Experience

NITI Aayog, Government of India

  • Developing City Regions as Growth Hubs: This project, announced in the Union Budget 2024, aimed to establish city regions as economic growth hubs. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region was the first one to successfully prepare an economic master plan, report released by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, targeting a doubling of the region’s GDP over the next five years (from USD 140 Bn to USD 300 Bn by 2030).
  • Contributed to the development of key projects in the health, education, skilling, and improving quality of living for citizens in Surat Economic Region- another pilot city under growth hub project. The report has been launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat and is now live on NITI Aayog’s official webpage.
  • In alignment with the vision of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, contributed in preparation of comprehensive packages & projects to establish Visakhapatnam as the ‘Care Economy Hub of East Asia’
  • Core team member for ‘Prime Minister’s Sector Review’ and ‘Data Governance Quality Index’.
  • Output-Outcome Monitoring Framework: My responsibilities include reviewing frameworks for monitoring of central ministries’ schemes, and analysing their performance.

National Institute of Urban Affairs, Government of India

  • Primary role was to support in initiatives aimed at enhancing city’s ability to withstand and adapt to various challenges of climate change and natural disasters.
  • Developed flood resilience strategies for cities in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu in collaboration with the World Bank
  • Prepared Cities Readiness Reports based on Climate Smart Cities Assessment Framework.
  • Contributed to Climate Action Plans including risk assessment frameworks, vulnerability mapping, and sectoral interventions.

Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India

  • Project ‘Adapt’: Development of data-driven tool to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change. The product has two verticals, the first one is a dashboard for governance and the second one is a web-page for citizens’ engagement. This was first of its kind project which was piloted & implemented in Nashik smart city.
  • Won First Prize in ‘Urban Geospatial Data Stories Challenge 2022’ (amongst 900+ participants throughout India).
  • Developed a tool (proof of concept) for inclusion of people with disability in decision making for disaster risk reduction.
